New ‘Cherish or Change’ Service

Norfolk’s freshest property finding agency – Flint Homes – is launching a new service for its clients called ‘Cherish or Change.’

Already affectionately known as “Norfolk’s Phil & Kirstie” after the great property pair on TV, Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp, Flint Homes duo, Phil and Bonnie Royle have been busy helping their property hunting clients find and secure outstanding homes in Norfolk and Suffolk, with great success – just like the much-loved TV show ‘Location, Location. Location.

And now they are launching a new service for clients that follows in the footsteps of Phil and Kirstie’s more recent TV show ‘Love It or List It.’ In this show, Kirstie assesses a client’s home and suggests ways it could be improved to make it more suitable for their lifestyle (loving it), whilst Phil showcases potential properties they could just simply move into (listing it).

For the new ‘cherish’ part of the Flint Homes version, Bonnie visits your existing Norfolk or Suffolk home to assess the property and its options, followed by ideas generation, followed by a session to discuss how best to cherish, de-clutter, modify and improve the home for its current use and some idea on what that might cost/what you might hope to achieve as a sale price afterwards.

And for the ‘change’ part of the service – should a client wish to consider putting their property on the market – Phil will suggest which estate agents might best suit the property sale process and will then showcase a range of properties that might be suitable to change home to.

Speaking about the new Flint Homes service, founder Phil Royle said: “The idea is pretty simple… people are often motivated to move because their home is no longer working for them in the way it once did. And a lot of people jump to the conclusion that moving is the solution. Upsizing. Downsizing. Whatever suits their time of life and budget constraints. Time for a change. And of course, we can help with this, very successfully. Often it is the right choice.

“But actually for some, maybe the right solution is to cherish the home they live in and make it work better for their needs – extending it to create more room, installing a garden home office for that new business you just launched (or teenager you want to give space to), changing the layout to make the house fit the way it’s being lived in, upgrading bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms to make them more appealing and enjoyable, adding a functional laundry or boot room or even converting an outbuilding into an income generating Airbnb… the options are endless. But with such choice comes confusion for some people. And indecision. And inactivity. Many can’t ever see the property’s potential at all. But we can and are happy to help Flint Homes clients make sense of it all.

“One of the main reasons we launched Flint Homes is because we had been buying, renovating, flipping and selling – loving and listing, or cherishing and changing – a whole range of properties across Suffolk and Norfolk. We acquired the skills – and contacts - we needed to find, secure and obtain some fabulous property. And, having worked on so many of them to improve them (in some cases even having them built from scratch), we have amassed a lot of expertise, contacts and skills, to cherish and improve homes – to make them work for you, or your money.

“We are happy to pass on this expertise and the necessary, reliable, local contacts to help people cherish their homes, make some intelligent, life-relevant changes and make their house the home they want to stay in, rather than move. Or to make them more appealing and saleable.

“Our clients can utilise our core property buying agency skills to help them change their property, list it with the right estate agent locally, who will sell it. And we can find and secure a wonderful property for them, at a superb price – all via one point of contact, to access the whole Norfolk and Suffolk property market and have quality advice every step of the way.”

Bonnie added: “When we ran our antiques and interiors shop in Heydon, we were often asked if we did interior design, which we helped people with and really enjoyed. Phil has great spacial awareness and renovation know-how and I have the creativity, design-led touches, plus a real passion for the de-cluttering, re-organising and (highly liberating!) “sort your life out” movement.

“We have both always been able to see the potential in property – making some superb changes to the Norfolk properties we have owned over the years, making them more saleable, or more practical and enjoyable to live in.

“We have amassed a huge list of amazing local contacts – including architects, surveyors, interior designers, fabric experts, carpenters, heating engineers, plumbers, sparks, plasterers, log burner installers, roofers, landscapers, gardeners, general builders, you name it – everyone you need to make safe, smart changes to your home.

“We are always happy to share these contacts – at no extra cost or kick-back to us – with our Flint Homes clients; simply as part of the premium process and added value we offer our property hunters, on a normal contract. This ‘Cherish or Change’ service is the obvious extension of that – just being offered pre-sale, instead of when clients are already on the market, sold or proceed-able with funds, looking for property to purchase.”
