The first of these was an absolute gem of a grand period property, coming to market for the first time in decades in the fair city of Norwich, in one of the most desirable locations in the city – secured off market, before anyone else got a sniff.
The lucky buyers had set a very stiff brief – described by various estate agents as “impossible on that budget” & “rarer than hen’s teeth” & dismissed as being “a unicorn” – but we found it & it’s absolutely what they wanted. And now they are in – after us assisting through every step of the conveyance, lining up builders & more besides – they are utterly thrilled, as their review clearly says.

The second couple deserved a long-suffering patience award – having had to wait for probate to be granted on a property, conducted by one of the most glacial, dusty old law firms we have ever had worked with (not our choice!).
But it was worth it, to end up with a very special cottage – again the first time it has been to market for decades – just over the border in Suffolk (where I first came to settle in East Anglia), a country mile under asking price. They are thrilled with this beauty & have amazing plans, again being conducted by builders we introduced them to. We wish them every happiness.
